China Renmin University, referred to as Renmin University and National People's Congress for short, is one of the most famous institutions of higher learning in China. It is in a leading position in domestic literature, law, business and other fields and enjoys an excellent reputation internationally. In addition, it has recently made great progress in the development of science and engineering. The predecessor of the National People's Congress is Northern Shaanxi Public School, which was founded in Yan 'an during War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's period. After that, it passed through North China United University, North University and North China University, and finally 1950 was located in Beijing, named "China Renmin University" and became the first comprehensive national university in New China.
