The 40th Chinese Physics Olympiad-Anhui rematch (theoretical examination) was held in China University of Science and Technology on September 16, 2023. This year, the number of first prize winners in Anhui Division is 78, and the Anhui team has 19 places in the national finals.

The specific content of the physics competition:

1. mechanics: including kinematics, dynamics, object balance, momentum, mechanical energy, angular momentum, central motion, rigid body, fluid mechanics, vibration and fluctuation.

2. Thermodynamics: involving molecular dynamics theory, gas properties, the first law of thermodynamics, the second law of thermodynamics, liquid properties, solid properties, state changes, heat transfer methods, thermal expansion and other knowledge points.

3. Electromagnetism: covering electrostatic field, steady current, material conductivity, magnetic field, electromagnetic induction, alternating current, electromagnetic oscillation and electromagnetic wave.

4. Optics: mainly including geometric optics and wave optics.

5. Modern physics: Basic knowledge about the nature of light, atomic structure, nucleus, particles, special relativity, solar system, galaxy, universe and black hole.

6. Mathematical basis: You need to master all elementary mathematics (including analytic geometry), vector synthesis and decomposition, vector operation, initial concepts of infinity and infinitesimal, calculus and its application, and differential and integral in middle school.
