Not only college students can take the teacher qualification examination, but also students and social candidates can sign up as long as they meet the requirements of the teacher qualification examination.

Persons who meet the following basic conditions may sign up for the qualification examination for primary and secondary school teachers:

(1) Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents with China nationality or studying, working and living in the Mainland;

(2) Abide by the Constitution and laws of People's Republic of China (PRC), support the leadership of the China Producers' Party, adhere to the socialist direction of running schools, implement the Party's educational policy, love education, and have good ideological and moral character;

(3) meeting the physical examination standards for applying for teacher qualification;

(four) in principle, should have the corresponding qualifications stipulated in the "Teacher Law", and should meet the requirements of academic qualifications determined and published in this province.

Students in the third grade and above in ordinary colleges and universities can apply for the exam with the certificate of studying abroad issued by the school.

"Teachers Law" stipulates that the corresponding qualifications required to obtain teacher qualifications are:

1. Education of kindergarten teachers: graduated from kindergarten teachers or above;

2. Primary school teacher qualification: graduated from secondary normal school or above;

3. Qualifications of junior high school teachers and teachers of cultural and professional courses in junior vocational schools: graduated from teachers' colleges or other colleges or above;

4. Senior middle school teacher qualification and secondary specialized school, technical school, vocational high school culture course and professional course teacher qualification: Bachelor degree or above in normal university or other universities;

5. Qualifications of teachers in institutions of higher learning: graduate or undergraduate degree;

6. The qualifications of adult education teachers should be adapted to the level and category of adult education, and they should have graduated from higher and secondary specialized schools or above.
