ACM is an ACM international programming competition for college students sponsored by the American Computer Association (ACM).

The history of A& competition can be traced back to 1970, when the first competition was held at A& University in Texas. The teams in the first few competitions mainly came from the United States and Canada, and then gradually developed into a world-wide competition. Especially from 1997, IBM began to sponsor sports events, and the scale of sports events increased rapidly.

ACM competition represents the school in the form of teams, with a maximum of 3 people in each team. Each team member must be a student at school, with a certain age limit, and can participate in regional trials at most twice a year. After the program is completed, it will be submitted to the evaluation machine for running, and the running result will be judged right or wrong, and the team will be informed in time.

ACM competition consists of two stages: regional preliminaries and global finals on all continents. The finals are arranged in March-May every year, while the regional preliminaries are generally arranged in February of the year before September-65438. In principle, a university can have up to three teams in a regional preliminaries, but only one team can participate in the global finals. The first place in the global finals will get a trophy.
