The Central Academy of Drama, directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), is the headquarters of China Higher Drama Education Alliance, the headquarters of Asian Drama Education Research Center, the secretariat of the World Federation of Drama Schools, the activity base of the World Federation of Drama Schools International College Students' Drama Festival, the first batch of "double-first-class" discipline construction universities in China, and the institutions receiving scholarships from the China government for overseas students. The Central Academy of Drama is the first drama education institution in New China, and it has a UNESCO seat in drama education.
