Dongying City, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Shandong Province, is also called Oil City, Oriental Wetland City and Yellow River Water City. Shandong Institute of Petrochemical Technology, located in Dongying City, Shandong Province, is a provincial public full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school was established in March 2003, named Shengli College of Petroleum University.
