However, it is found from later work that the company actually does not need a director of development department, but only needs one regional manager after another, which can develop the few agents in the country into regional managers everywhere.
From the development of the company, there are many basic problems, and everything seems so chaotic, which may reflect the operating status of small security enterprises. What is the job of the director of development department? There are only three things:
First of all, establish, standardize and strengthen the marketing management system, focusing on sales management and brand building.
Second, consolidate and improve sales performance, and focus on market development to complete sales performance.
Third, brand building and public relations planning, with emphasis on brand promotion and public relations. Analyzing the current situation of the company, I don't need a director of development department, which is inconsistent with the original intention of the company to invite me to join, because I have been working as a development manager or a regional manager in the company. The company invited me to come because of my good performance in the past and provided me with a bigger platform, so I came, but in a sense I became a regional manager.
When I first came, the company told me that the management of the company was chaotic, and it was necessary to standardize management and strengthen institutionalization, so I began to focus on the institutionalization of the marketing system. However, we didn't finish these two points, and the company hastily rejected the new system, which I can understand.
First, the introduction of any system will definitely destroy the existing balance of interests.
Second, the financial system is distrustful of the new system.
Third, the adaptability of existing personnel to the new system, and the decline in performance in a short period of time will cause the company's distrust.
Fourth, the implementation and follow-up of the new system need to be tracked and controlled all the time, but the company didn't give me this time. In fact, I know that the company needs performance, not management.
Based on professional ethics, my travel expenses, like other salespeople, have been trying to integrate the existing resources of the company and improve many shortcomings of the sales department. When the company has no money to support the market and the market maintenance is almost zero. Finally, the number of agents has grown from a few to a considerable scale, the company's performance has quadrupled, sales have increased by several hundred percent year-on-year, monthly shipments are stable, and the data structure is benign. I feel that I am worthy of my own efforts and the company.
After more than a year of running-in, I found that the company lacked the concept of marketing and was extremely short-sighted. It made money from agents, but it didn't serve them well. At the same time, enterprises lack integrity. When marketers have made great efforts and lost a lot of hair, they have finally reached the stage of blooming everywhere. But the company thinks that it is enough to hire a business person with a salary of two or three thousand yuan for these things, so why spend five or six thousand yuan to hire a development director? As a result, the contradiction came out, and new people intervened and treated the director of the development department unfairly. Only then did I understand that the cooperation period was coming to an end.

Second, to tell you, the above problems are just the tip of the iceberg, and theory can never compare with practice. Of course, you are the boss, and the boss of the private enterprise has the final say. Neither you nor I have to worry. When the earth is gone, everyone will turn around. I pay more attention to the company than anything else, and I am very confident that you can bring the enterprise to success and the future. However, if you can't distinguish right from wrong, distinguish between black and white, be good at employing people, be self-righteous and break your word, then where is the future of the enterprise?
