Shihezi Radio and TV University was founded in 1982. It consists of Xinjiang Radio and TV University Shihezi Branch, Corps Radio and TV University Agriculture Eighth Division Branch and Tsinghua University Distance Education Shihezi Learning Center. The implementation of unified management and integrated classified enrollment has formed a school-running pattern of multi-level academic education and various non-academic education such as ordinary colleges, adult colleges, undergraduate and postgraduate education.
