Zhejiang University of Technology is a comprehensive key university in Zhejiang Province. Established in 1953. After several years of hard work and unremitting struggle, it has developed into a comprehensive teaching and research university with certain influence in China, and its comprehensive strength ranks among the top 100 in China.
The school began to recruit graduate students from 1979, 1983 became the master's degree awarding unit, and 1998 became the doctoral degree awarding unit.
After 40 years of development, a multi-level, multi-category and relatively complete degree and postgraduate education system has been formed, including academic doctors, academic masters, professional masters, people with the same academic qualifications applying for masters, college teachers studying for masters on the job, and secondary vocational school teachers studying for masters on the job.
In 2020, there were 978 teachers with postgraduate enrollment qualifications, including 268 teachers with doctoral enrollment qualifications, 865,438 teachers with academic postgraduate enrollment qualifications, and 797 teachers with professional postgraduate enrollment qualifications.
The Graduate School of Zhejiang University of Technology is the management institution responsible for the overall management and quality assurance of all kinds of graduate education in the whole school. Graduate schools take moral education as their fundamental mission, aim at building a "first-class research university with distinctive regional characteristics" and improve the quality of graduate education as the core, and steadily promote the high-level characteristic development of graduate education.
