These language exercises in the text aim at promoting dialogue and communication between students, so that they can practice dialogue face to face.

This textbook focuses on grammar and function, and all teaching activities are conducted through guided conversation exercises, focusing on the coordinated development of language knowledge and communicative competence, supplemented by comprehensive training of other skills, and supplemented by a number of supporting exercises such as reading, writing, listening, pronunciation, role-playing and discussion, so as to strengthen and expand this conversation core.

The first book you mentioned is not suitable for zero-based learning. The grammar of the first book mainly explains four tenses: present continuous tense, simple present tense, simple future tense and simple past tense. According to students' English proficiency at school, students of at least grade four or five in primary school will learn better. I have taught this textbook for many years, and I think it is a very good textbook!
