The People's Public Security University of China is an ordinary institution of higher learning directly under the Ministry of Public Security and a senior police officer college of the Ministry of Public Security. It is a national "world-class discipline construction university". The school is a comprehensive university in the public security industry. It is the first institution of higher education, the first postgraduate training and the only doctoral education in the national public security system. It is also the police college with the most comprehensive disciplines, the largest school scale and the most comprehensive education level. At present, it is the only one selected as a national "world-class discipline construction university".
Since its establishment, it has trained and transported more than 320,000 leaders, professional backbones and professionals at all levels for the national political and legal public security organs and other units, and is known as the "cradle of China police officers". The school has two campuses, Muxidi and Tuanhe, covering an area of 1.200 mu. The teaching administration room, venues and students' (trainees') dormitories cover an area of more than 600,000 square meters, and the library has the most complete collection of public security books in China, with a collection of1.5,000 volumes. Campus teaching, scientific research and training facilities are complete.
It has many modern large-scale education and training venues, such as police tactical training hall, police tactical training block, police sports comprehensive training hall and senior police officer training building, and is equipped with many domestic first-class police training facilities, such as live-fire shooting, scene simulation, swimming rescue, secret service driving, trace inspection, trace material evidence analysis, police tactical command, criminal investigation, psychological test, safety prevention technology, traffic control and so on.
