There is no faster way to learn than to love a wise teacher, and respect for etiquette is the second. The world can't help loving a wise teacher, and the world can't help respecting etiquette. You can only learn a little knowledge such as miscellaneous notes. After reading Shangshu and Shijing, you can't help being a poor Confucian all your life. If we want to push the former king and take benevolence and righteousness as the foundation, then ceremony is the only way. Only by studying comprehensively and persisting can a true scholar be considered.

A gentleman knows that knowledge is incomplete and the essence is not good enough, so reading (poetry books) runs through knowledge, thinking and exploring to understand the truth, following the example of a wise teacher and staying in the world to harm the essence of learning, so that the eyes don't want to see except the right things, so that the ears don't want to hear except the right things, so that the mouth doesn't want to say anything but the right words, and the heart doesn't want to consider anything except the right words. As for my favorite things, my eyes like five colors, my ears like five sounds, and my mouth likes five flavors. My mind is good for keeping the world. Therefore, power cannot overwhelm him, many people cannot change him, and the world cannot shake him. Doing this when you are alive and doing this when you are dead is called moral integrity. With virtue and integrity, we can resolutely respond to change. Being firm and able to cope is called an accomplished person. The sky shows its brightness, and it clearly shows its breadth. The nobility of a gentleman lies in possessing all kinds of virtues.
