What does an associate degree mean?
Associate Degree is the lowest level in the four-level degree system, which is lower than bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctor's degree. Associate degree readers usually study in community colleges or junior colleges for two years, and usually do not need to pass thesis exams. In Chinese mainland, the closest educational qualification is a college diploma (but usually those who get a college diploma must study full-time in a university for three years). The extended associate degree in information is awarded by community colleges, junior colleges (also known as junior colleges) or some colleges and universities with bachelor's degree awarding qualifications to students who have completed the associate degree course, which is equivalent to the first two years of a four-year university. After graduation, students can choose to go to college and get a bachelor's degree after two years of study.
