North China University of Water Resources and Hydropower is located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, on the bank of the Yellow River. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Water Resources and the White Government of Henan Province, and is mainly managed by Henan Province. The school has the right to award doctoral degrees, is a key construction university in Henan Province, and the first batch of master's degrees in China are awarded to universities.
Engineering University of Basic Capacity Building in Colleges and Universities in Central and Western China, the second batch of "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education, the only university in Henan Province with independent postgraduate enrollment qualification, and the only university undertaking the national "High-level Key Talents Program for Ethnic Minorities" 1. The school, formerly known as Beijing Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower, has been located in No.41 after three relocations, and has successively run schools in Beijing, Yuecheng, Handan and Zhengzhou.
