Southern Medical University, with a total score of 178.7, ranks sixth in the national medical university.

Southern Medical University, located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, is the only one of the first batch of national key universities in Guangdong Province, and it is also one of the first batch of eight universities in China that offer eight-year clinical medicine graduate students and doctoral degrees. It is the only medical college under the key construction of a high-level university in Guangdong Province, and the first batch of pilot universities in China to train excellent doctors and excellent physicians (Chinese medicine).

The school, formerly known as the First Military Medical University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, was founded in 195 1, 1979 and was designated as a national key university. In August 2004, it was transferred to Guangdong Province as a whole and renamed Southern Medical University.
