At present, there are generally two kinds of modified cars in China: first, manufacturers specializing in the production of modified cars redesign and refit cars different from the original models with nationally qualified engines, chassis or assemblies; Secondly, the license plate car is technically reformed for some purpose on the basis of the original car assembly. Modified cars are collectively referred to as modified cars. When a licensed car is modified, it should be registered with the vehicle management office, and the modification technical report can be modified only after it is approved by the vehicle management office. After the modification, you have to go to the vehicle management office to go through the modification and change procedures.

To change the appearance of a vehicle, an application shall be made to the vehicle management department, and the driving license shall be changed in time. This modified car can drive legally.

Appearance modification should comply with relevant laws and regulations, and power cannot be modified casually.

There are certain restrictions on car modification, and random modification may not pass the annual inspection, so car modification must be carried out under the premise of complying with relevant laws and regulations. At present, the traffic control department still has strict restrictions on automobile modification, and the parts involving automobile technical parameters such as automobile displacement are not allowed to be modified privately.

Laws and regulations restrict car modification: you can't change the car model, engine model and frame number, and you can't damage the body structure; If a car changes color, engine, body or frame, it must be submitted for inspection; if it changes engine, body or frame, it must also submit a certificate of motor vehicle safety and technical inspection; The car sticker area cannot exceed 30% of the total car body area, and it must be approved by the relevant department; The appearance of the car cannot be changed greatly, and the requirements are basically the same as those in the driving license.

1. Body color, engine, fuel type and frame number can be modified, but the three colors are special colors for special vehicles and cannot be used. Red is dedicated to fire fighting, yellow is dedicated to engineering emergency rescue, and blue is dedicated to national administrative law enforcement. Only when the body, frame and engine are damaged beyond repair or have quality problems can they be changed. When applying for change, the certificate of the repair shop and the certificate of origin of replacing the engine, body or frame must be issued at the same time.

2. Replacing the front bumper belongs to changing the appearance of the car, which is feasible after approval, but it is not allowed to carry out modifications such as raising the chassis to improve the off-road performance of the car. Once illegal modification is found in the annual review, it must be restored to its original state.

3. Widening tires, air intake system, exhaust system and other modifications are not allowed. According to the relevant provisions of the "Motor Vehicle Registration Measures" issued by the Ministry of Public Security, the tire size, modified air intake system and exhaust system of vehicles in use are not allowed to be changed by the state. If the above modification is carried out on the existing car, the engine power may be changed and the driving safety may be affected. The owner of the illegally modified vehicle shall be fined 500- 1000 yuan according to law and ordered to make restitution.

4. Materials and procedures required for applying for change: fill in the application form for motor vehicle change registration, and then submit the identity certificate of the motor vehicle owner and driver, motor vehicle registration certificate, motor vehicle driving license and standard photos of the motor vehicle applying for change registration.

Interior decoration should follow the following principles as far as possible:

1. Coordination: the color of jewelry must be coordinated with the color of the car, and high-end and high-priced products should not be blindly pursued to avoid self-defeating. For example, a light-colored car is equipped with a dark seat cover and a red carpet.

2. Practicality: According to the size of the interior space, try to choose some small, beautiful and practical ornaments that can fully reflect the owner's personality, such as tea cup holders, perfume bottles and storage boxes.

3. neatness: the accessories in the car should be clean, hygienic and orderly, giving people a relaxed and comfortable feeling.

4. Safety: The car accessories shall not interfere with the safe driving of drivers or the safety of passengers. For example, the suspension on the top of the car should not be too long, too big or too heavy; The decoration on the rear windshield should not affect the reversing sight.

5. Comfort: the color and texture of the car accessories should conform to the aesthetics of the owner, and the perfume should be fresh and not too strong.

Relevant provisions on the change of automobile appearance in the Regulations on Motor Vehicle Registration:

Article 10 If a registered motor vehicle is under any of the following circumstances, the owner of the motor vehicle shall apply to the vehicle management office at the place of registration for change of registration: the body color changes; Replace the engine; Replace the body or frame.

Fifteenth in any of the following circumstances, the registration of change shall not be handled: the brand, model and engine model of motor vehicle are changed, except the engine selected with the permission of the competent department of motor vehicle products in the State Council; Change the registered motor vehicle shape and related technical data, except as otherwise provided by laws, regulations and national mandatory standards; There are circumstances stipulated in Item, Item, Item and Item of Article 9 of these Provisions.

Article 16 Under any of the following circumstances, the owner of a motor vehicle does not need to register for change without affecting the safety and identification number plate: small and micro passenger cars are equipped with front and rear anti-collision devices; Freight motor vehicles are equipped with windshield, water tank, toolbox, spare wheel rack, etc. Increase the interior of motor vehicles.

Article 47 Under any of the following circumstances, the traffic administrative department of the public security organ shall give a warning or impose a fine of less than 200 yuan: heavy and medium-sized trucks and their trailers are not painted with amplification numbers or the amplification numbers are unclear; Motor vehicle spraying, labeling or body advertising, which affects safe driving; Failing to install side and rear lower protective devices and stick reflective signs on the body of trucks and trailers as required; The motor vehicle fails to carry out safety technical inspection within the prescribed time limit; Changing the color of the car body, replacing the engine, car body or frame, and failing to go through the change registration within the time limit specified in Article 10 of these Provisions.
