The School of Journalism and Communication of Nanchang University consists of journalism department, radio and television department, advertising department, film and television communication department and modern media center. The college, formerly known as the Department of Journalism of Jiangxi University, was founded in June 1958. It is the third news teaching point in China after Fudan University and China Renmin University, and now it is the only journalism school in Jiangxi Province.
