Introduction to "University"
Da Xue was originally the 42nd chapter of The Book of Rites of Little Wear, which was highly praised by Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi in the Northern Song Dynasty. Zhu wrote Da Sentence in the Southern Song Dynasty, and was finally called "Four Books" together with The Doctrine of the Mean, The Analects of Confucius and Mencius. "University" mainly focuses on the important ideas of self-cultivation, keeping the family in order, governing the country and leveling the world, which has a great influence on China's ancient education.

The Doctrine of the Mean, originally the thirty-first chapter of the Book of Rites, is one of the Confucian classics, and it is said that it was written by Zi Si during the Warring States Period. Four books
"University" is compiled by Confucius' disciples to sort out the contents of Confucius' lectures, mainly focusing on the important thoughts of self-cultivation, keeping the family in order, governing the country and leveling the world. The Analects of Confucius was compiled by Confucius and his disciples, which embodies Confucius' educational principles, moral concepts, ethical thoughts and political opinions. Mencius was compiled by Mencius and his disciples. The book mainly talks about Mencius' political thoughts and viewpoints. The Doctrine of the Mean was written by Confucius' grandson Zisi, mainly telling people not to be too extreme when dealing with problems, but to find suitable solutions.
