"China Government Scholarship" is a full or partial scholarship provided by the Ministry of Education of China according to the educational exchange agreements or understandings reached with relevant governments, institutions, schools and relevant international organizations. China Ministry of Education entrusts China china scholarship council (hereinafter referred to as "Scholarship Committee for Studying Abroad") to be responsible for the recruitment and daily affairs management of China government scholarships for international students in China.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education of China, all China government scholarship undergraduates studying in China are taught in Chinese. After coming to China, all scholarship undergraduates who have no Chinese foundation need to attend 1-2 years of Chinese tutoring before they can enter professional study. Some graduate students and advanced students can teach in English, and students can directly enter the professional study after coming to China (see the Directory of Universities Accepting Scholarships from China Government and Introduction to the Professional Directory for details). The duration of the scholarship shall be determined at the time of admission and shall not be extended in principle.

Second, the application route and application time

The applicant shall submit an application to the sending department of overseas students in the host country or the Chinese embassy (consulate) in that country within the specified time, and the application time is generally from the beginning of165438 to the beginning of April. Three. Qualifications of the applicant

1. The applicant must be a non-China citizen and in good health;

2, the applicant's education and age requirements:

L those who come to China to study undergraduate majors must have a high school diploma with excellent results, and the age is no more than 25 years old;

L those who come to China to study for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be no more than 35 years old;

L those who come to China to study for a doctorate must have a master's degree and be no more than 40 years old;

L As an advanced student in China, you must have a high school diploma and come to China to study Chinese, at least 35 years old;

As an ordinary advanced student, those who come to China for further study must have a second-year college degree or above, and come to China for further study in various disciplines, including Chinese majors, at least 45 years old;

As a senior advanced student, you must have a master's degree or above or an associate professor's title, and your age is not more than 50 years old.

Four. Contents and standards of scholarships

(1) Full scholarship

-Exemption from registration fees, tuition fees, experiment fees, internship fees, basic teaching materials fees and on-campus accommodation fees;

-provide scholarship living expenses and one-time resettlement subsidies;

—— Providing outpatient medical services and comprehensive medical insurance for international students studying in China with China government scholarships;

-Provide one-time inter-city transportation.

note:

1. Scholarship students require experiments or internships beyond the school's teaching plan, and the extra expenses are borne by themselves.

2. Basic textbook fee: refers to the textbooks designated by the school and provided free of charge to scholarship students; Other books and materials are self-care.

3, scholarship living expenses by the students' school monthly to the students themselves, the standard is (RMB/month):

L undergraduate course: 1400 yuan

L China advanced students: 1400 yuan.

L Postgraduates and regular advanced students: 1.700 yuan.

L doctoral students and advanced students: 2000 yuan.

Scholarship living expenses are paid regularly every month from the date of admission of scholarship students. For freshmen registered before 15 of the current month (including 15), they will be given a full-month scholarship living expenses; Those who register after fifteen days will be given a scholarship for half a month. The scholarship living expenses of graduates will be paid half a month after the graduation date determined by the school. For those who drop out of school, drop out of school or return to China after graduation, the scholarship living expenses will be stopped from next month. Scholarships are paid as usual during the holidays stipulated by the school; Scholarship students who fail to receive scholarship living expenses on time due to their suspension from school during the holidays can reissue them after returning to school. Scholarship students who fail to take leave, leave school for non-health reasons or miss classes for more than one month and fail to register at school on time will stop paying the scholarship living expenses for that month.

Scholarship students who need to ask for leave from scholars due to serious illness return to China to recuperate, and their travel expenses are self-care; Scholars who have been approved by the school to drop out of school can retain the scholarship qualification for up to one year, but the scholarship living expenses will be stopped during the suspension. Scholarship students who drop out of school for other reasons are not eligible for scholarships.

4. Freshmen will be given a one-time resettlement fee when they come to China. The criteria are:

L those who have studied in China for 6 months or less: 1000 yuan (RMB)

L those who study in China 1 academic year or above: 1500 yuan (RMB).

5. Outpatient medical expenses: refers to the daily outpatient expenses of students seeking medical treatment in the school hospital or the hospital designated by the school. Students need to pay a certain percentage of fees according to the relevant regulations of the school after seeing a doctor.

6. China Government Scholarship Comprehensive Insurance for International Students in China: refers to the comprehensive medical insurance paid by the Ministry of Education of China for international students in China. Mainly used for the expenses paid by students for hospitalization due to major diseases or personal accidents. The scholarship student's school holds the relevant expense receipt and claims compensation from the insurance company according to the insurance clauses agreed in advance.

. Insurance companies don't accept individual claims.

7. One-time inter-city transportation fee: refers to the arrival of freshmen from the entrance port to the city where the school is located or the city where the Chinese remedial (preparatory education) school is located; The students in school are from the city where the Chinese remedial (preparatory education) school is located to the city where the professional college is located; And a one-time train hard seat (sleeper) ticket from the city where the graduate school is located to the exit port. Food expenses and overweight baggage expenses on the way are self-care.

8. International travel expenses: The Ministry of Education of China provides one-time international travel expenses for international students from countries with agreements to come to China or return to China, and entrusts the overseas study committee to purchase the most direct and economical international air ticket between the capital of the country where the international students are located and Beijing, China. If students need to bypass China or return to China, they should pay extra air tickets and overweight luggage.

(2) Partial scholarships: one or more of full scholarships (excluding resettlement fees and one-time inter-city transportation fees).

The applicant must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials (in duplicate):

1. One original and one copy of the China Government Scholarship Application Form (uniformly printed by the Overseas Study Fund Committee), filled out in Chinese or English.

2. Notarization certificate of the highest education. If the applicant is a student at school or has been employed, he/she must submit the certificate of study issued by his/her school or the certificate of employment issued by the employment unit. Texts other than Chinese and English require notarized Chinese or English translation.

3. Undergraduate professional applicants must provide notarized transcripts of the senior high school entrance examination; Students applying for other categories must provide academic transcripts. Texts other than Chinese and English require notarized Chinese or English translation.

4, study and research plan in China (undergraduate students not less than 200 words, advanced students not less than 500 words, graduate students not less than 800 words), written in Chinese or English.

5. Applicants for master's and doctoral degrees and advanced students applying for studying in China must submit letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English; Applicants in China must present the admission notice or invitation letter of the planned school.

6. Students who apply to study music must submit CDs of their works; Students who apply for studying fine arts must provide CDs of their own works (2 sketches, 2 colored paintings and 2 other works);

7./kloc-Applicants under the age of 0/8 should submit the relevant legal documents of their legal guardians in China.

8. Records of foreigners' physical examination (copy, original kept by themselves): This form is uniformly printed by the health and quarantine department of China. Those who have studied in China for more than 6 months must fill it out in English. The applicant shall conduct the examination in strict accordance with the items required in the Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners. The physical examination records of foreigners who are lost, have not affixed their photos or stamped with the riding seal, and have not been signed and sealed by doctors and hospitals are invalid. In view of the validity of the examination results for 6 months, please determine the time of your physical examination accordingly.

The above application materials shall be delivered to the Scholarship Fund Committee by the Embassy of China in the sending country (Consulate General) or the embassy of the sending country in China before April 30, 2008. The Scholarship Committee does not accept individual applications. The applicant's materials will not be returned regardless of whether they are accepted or not.

Sixth, the choice of learning institutions and majors.

Applicants can choose 3 voluntary schools and 1 voluntary majors within the range of national ordinary colleges and universities designated by the Ministry of Education of China. Applicants must carefully fill in the school name and major in strict accordance with the Catalogue of Colleges and Universities Accepting China Government Scholarships (please refer to this Guide) and the Catalogue and Professional Catalogue of Colleges and Universities Accepting China Government Scholarships. Applicants for master's and doctoral degrees, as well as those who apply for further study in China, please attach a separate page detailing their study and research plans in China.

Seven. Admission and notification

1. Scholarship Fund Committee examines the application materials of scholarship applicants and has the right to make appropriate adjustments to the school, major and year selected by the applicants. The application materials approved by the Scholarship Fund Committee will be transferred to the relevant schools, which will decide whether to accept them or not. If the applicant's conditions or application materials do not meet the requirements, the application shall be deemed invalid and shall not be accepted.

2. For those who apply for exemption to go abroad to study undergraduate, master and doctoral students in China, if their academic level can not meet the requirements of domestic ordinary colleges and universities, the school will decide the types of students to be admitted or make conditional admission. If you need to take a make-up exam in Chinese or take part in preparatory study before major study, you must pass the entrance examination of the school or the examination of related courses before you can formally enter major study. Undergraduates who receive preparatory education can change to liberal arts majors to continue their studies if they fail the examination within the prescribed time limit; Others who pass the examination within the specified time will return to China as advanced students.

3. Scholarship Fund Committee encourages applicants to contact their schools and tutors in advance (the choice of schools is limited to 122 universities stipulated by the Ministry of Education of China). If the applicant has received an invitation letter from the school or tutor, please attach it to the application materials, and the scholarship fund Committee will inform the school to accept it directly.

4. Applicants who are admitted to ordinary colleges and universities in China can get a China government scholarship after being approved by the Overseas Study Fund Committee. The list of scholarship winners is reported to the Ministry of Education of China for the record.

5. With the consent of my signature, the scholarship winner shall not change the admission institution, study major and study period specified in the admission notice in principle.

6. Before 3 1 July, the Scholarship Fund Committee sent the admission list, admission notice and visa application form for international students in China (JW20 1) to the relevant departments that undertake enrollment affairs, and the relevant departments forwarded the above documents to the students themselves.
