Henan University of Science and Technology (HAUST for short) is located in Luoyang, the "Millennium Imperial Capital, Peony Flower City" and the sub-central city of the Central Plains urban agglomeration. It is a national model university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, a national intellectual property pilot university, a national continuing education base for professional and technical personnel, the first batch of scientific and technological achievements transformation and technology transfer bases of colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, a "double-first-class" university in Henan Province, and one of the key high-level comprehensive universities in Henan Province.

At present, the school has two campuses, Kaiyuan and Xiyuan, with a total area of 4 100 mu and a school building area of 1.59 million square meters. Covering 1 1 major disciplines, there are 98 undergraduate majors, 7 doctoral degree authorization points in first-level disciplines, 1 doctoral degree authorization point 1, 4 master degree authorization points1and 24 master degree authorization points.
