Main training objectives: Through four years of strict, systematic and standardized professional training, students will become professional musicians and performers of pop music with solid foundation, skilled skills and good application ability in harmony, sight-reading and improvisation. In the second year of the college's establishment, in 2002, the Department of Popular Instrumental Music was established. It is one of the earliest majors of popular musical instruments with undergraduate education in China. Including guitar (electric guitar, folk guitar), electric bass, jazz drum and saxophone.
