Southwest University is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Chongqing Municipality. It is the first batch of "double first-class" universities in China, and the construction of "21Project" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform" universities.

The main school is located in Beibei District, Chongqing, at the foot of Jinyun Mountain and beside Jialing River, covering an area of about 8,347 mu, with a school building area of 1.93 million square meters and a green space rate of 40%. 1, 2021April15th, the Domestic Cooperation Department of Southwest University was awarded the title of "Chongqing Advanced Poverty Alleviation Collective" by Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and Chongqing Municipal People's Government.
