Uq is the University of Queensland. The University of Queensland (UQ) is a world-class research institution. Founded in 1909, it is the first comprehensive university in Queensland and one of the six sandstone universities. St Lucia, the main campus of the University of Queensland, is located in the St Lucia district of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, on the Brisbane River.
