Among them, N 1 is the most difficult, and both domestic public universities and well-known private universities require N 1 to pass the exam before admission. The N 1 test includes language knowledge, reading and listening. The full mark is 180, the qualified score is 100, and the score in each subject is not less than 19. A Japanese N 1 certificate will be awarded. The requirement of the N 1 exam is to master a high level of Japanese grammar, with 2000 Chinese characters and about 10000 words, and have the Japanese level needed for barrier-free access to Japanese social studies. If you pass the first-level exam in China, you can apply directly to a Japanese university without going to a Japanese school or university preparatory course.
