Guangxi University was founded in Wuzhou in 1928, and became a national Guangxi University in 1939. 1950 merged with Nanning normal university, 195 1 merged with Xijiang college. 1953, when the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted, the teachers and students, disciplines, majors, equipment and books of Guangxi University were adjusted to 19, which made great contributions and sacrifices to the development of higher education in new China.

65438-0997, Guangxi University and Guangxi Agricultural University merged to form a new Guangxi University. It is the only national "2 1 1 Project" construction school in Guangxi, a world-class discipline construction university, and a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
