What is an open university?
Open university generally refers to adult institutions of higher learning.

Open universities can be divided into six types:

1, a public, government-funded open university.

2. A public, self-financing and non-profit-making open university.

3. Private for-profit open universities.

4. Private non-profit open university.

5. Private open universities of the General University Alliance.

6, and non-profit open universities established by transnational corporations.
