Xiangya Medical College of Central South University, located in Changsha, Hunan Province, is an affiliated college of Central South University, one of the ten comprehensive university medical schools determined by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, one of the two institutions in which the World Federation of Medical Education and the Special Committee on International Medical Education are conducting two standard pilot studies at the same time in China, and one of the first five institutions to pilot eight-year medical education.

It entered the national "2 1 1 project" in 1996 after the historical period of National Xiangya Medical College and Hunan Medical University. In April 2000, it merged with Central South University of Technology and Changsha Railway Institute to form Central South University, and established Xiangya Medical College of Central South University.
