The railway workers' strike in Han Jing was the climax of the first workers' movement led by the Production Party of China. Although it ended in failure, it further demonstrated the strength of the working class in China and expanded the influence of the Party among the people of the whole country.
1On February 7, 923, Xiao Yaonan, the governor of Hubei Province, tricked the trade union representatives into "negotiating" in Jiang 'an Trade Union at Wu's behest. Trade union representatives were shot dead by reactionary troops on their way to the trade union office, and unarmed workers' pickets were killed on the spot, and more than 200 people were injured, which led to the "February 7" tragedy that shocked China and foreign countries.
Under the leadership of the Party organizations and the Federation of Trade Unions, the strike went on in an orderly manner. Strike workers distributed leaflets to passengers, saying that workers' freedom rights were violated and they had to strike to gain sympathy and support from passengers; Expose the crimes of Wu and other reactionary warlords to all walks of life in the country. The internal organization of workers is also very neat and strict, "because all railway workers are members of trade unions, from drivers to firefighters to coolies." All members take orders from all branches, and all branches take orders from the Federation of Trade Unions, which is orderly. In order to maintain order, all railway branches have well-trained pickets; Spying information, during the strike, there were temporary investigation teams organized by various branches. "
After the strike broke out, Wu, Xiao Yaonan, Cao Kun, Zhao Jixian and other reactionary warlords, instigated by British imperialism, went back and forth to e-commerce to plot and brutally suppress the strikers. On the 4th, the enemy forced him to return to work by high-handed means. On the 5th, the chairman of Zhengzhou Railway Trade Union, Jiang, Liu, Wang Zongpei, Qian Nenggui and others were arrested in Zhengzhou, and they were subjected to carrot and stick, coercion, inducement and even torture, forcing them to drive back to work. They have always insisted that "there must be an order from the Federation of Trade Unions not to drive". Gao Bin was tortured and died soon. Hu of Xinyang division, in the face of the cruel persecution of the enemy, persevered and refused to return to work. On the 7th, Wu suppressed the striking workers on the Jinghan Railway on a large scale, which led to the "February 27th" tragedy that shocked China and foreign countries. In Henan, Zhengzhou and other places, 6 people were arrested, 1 people were persecuted to death, and more than 300 people were dismissed. Zhang Dexing, Xinxiang and other places were killed. Workers were persecuted and the Zhengzhou Party organization was destroyed. Li Zhenying, Zhao Zijian, Xu Kuan, Yao Zuotang, Dai Qingping and Xie Changchun, the party leaders who led the Henan Workers' Movement, were forced to leave, and all the rights and interests won by the workers in the struggle were deprived and all the trade unions were closed.
