Shanxi Agricultural University (SXAU), referred to as "Shanxi Agricultural University" for short, is a national key university jointly established by Shanxi Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Shanxi Agricultural University was originally a private Mingxian school founded by 1907 with Kong Xiangxi as its founder, and later developed into a private Mingxian Agricultural College and a private Mingxian Academy. Shanxi Agricultural College was founded in1951; 1979 was renamed Shanxi Agricultural University and listed as a national key university; 20 19 The joint office of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences was restructured and a new Shanxi Agricultural University was established.
