He Jiankun 1, male, born on August 2 1945, is from Anping County, Hebei Province. Tsinghua University 1970 stayed in school after graduation. 198 1 obtained a master's degree in management science and engineering from Tsinghua University. At present, he is the president of Tsinghua University Low-carbon Economic Research Institute, professor of management science and engineering, and doctoral supervisor. He used to be vice president of Tsinghua University, executive vice president, deputy director of school affairs committee, director of low-carbon energy laboratory, and concurrently dean of Tsinghua University Institute of Economics and Management. The main academic research fields are energy system engineering, strategies and policies to deal with global climate change. As the main person in charge, he has undertaken a number of national science and technology projects and major international cooperation projects. He used to be the technical director of the national science and technology support plan "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" and the chief scientist of the national 973 science and technology project. The research results won the second prize 1 and the third prize 1 of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of the Ministry of Education, the second prize and the third prize of other provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards.
