This direction mainly explores the fast solution algorithm in electromagnetic field, including the simulation, design and manufacture of microwave and millimeter wave integrated circuits and antennas.

2. Electromagnetic radiation, scattering and microwave information processing: this direction uses the theory and method in computational electromagnetics to image the radiation and scattering characteristics of electromagnetic targets, extract the scattering center points and identify the targets.

3. Microwave and millimeter-wave communication technology: This direction focuses on microwave and millimeter-wave transmitting and receiving technology, microwave and millimeter-wave antenna technology, spectrum utilization technology and broadband microwave and millimeter-wave communication technology.

4. Microwave and millimeter-wave devices and systems: Traditional design methods can no longer meet the needs of system design, and using software tools to design microwave and millimeter-wave devices and systems has become a hot spot in microwave circuit design. This direction mainly simulates, designs and experimentally measures microwave amplifiers, filters, power splitters, circulators, isolators and other devices and systems.
