Can mainland students apply for universities in Hong Kong without taking the college entrance examination?
There are two kinds of local enrollment in Hong Kong.

Among the universities that recruit undergraduates in the Mainland, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the City University of Hong Kong took the unified entrance examination in the Mainland and were included in the early batch of undergraduate enrollment. Every province has a provincial enrollment plan. Mainland candidates who apply for these two universities, like other ordinary universities, need to fill in the college entrance examination volunteers.

Other universities in Hong Kong recruit students independently, and the admission is completed before the unified undergraduate recruitment. There is no provincial plan. Candidates do not need to fill in the college entrance examination volunteers and apply directly through the school website, but they must take the college entrance examination.
