University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB)

1952 University of Science and Technology Beijing was established as Beijing Institute of Iron and Steel by Tianjin University (formerly Beiyang University), Tsinghua University, Tangshan Railway Institute, Shanxi University, Beijing Institute of Technology and Northwestern Polytechnical University. 1960, renamed Beijing institute of iron and steel; 1988, renamed University of Science and Technology Beijing.
