The following four situations should give priority to choosing a major.
First, candidates with unsatisfactory grades should shift their focus and emphasis to major selection when there is little difference in the level of schools they can choose.
Second, when there is a contradiction between the reported major and the school, priority should be given to this major, because the ultimate goal of further education is employment. Choosing a major that can be used after graduation and is easier to find employment is more important than choosing a school.
Third, when all aspects of the school are similar, the major is given priority. At present, some colleges and universities recruit students according to major categories, and students will not choose their major until their sophomore or junior year. In this case, the school can give priority.
Fourth, if you want to pursue further studies after graduation, you should lay a good professional foundation and plan your long-term development goals in the future. Maybe it's not too loud for students to choose a professional school brand, but if students can learn their major well, attending an undergraduate school will not only bring negative effects, but also lay a solid foundation for students to enter a better school in the future.
There are four preferred schools:
First of all, candidates who have excellent academic performance and rank among the top in provincial key middle schools should first choose a famous comprehensive university, and then choose their favorite major. Don't set up schools by major. Because in a famous comprehensive university, even if students are not satisfied with their major, there are still many opportunities for second choice after entering the school, such as changing departments, changing majors, taking the second degree and taking the second major.
If the school is set up according to the major, some students' abilities may not be brought into play, especially those engineering majors with strong operability and narrow professional scope. When they want to study across majors or change majors, they will find it difficult because of the limitation of majors.
Secondly, candidates with average academic performance seem to have a large number of schools to choose from, and their majors are mostly engineering, social science and related majors, which are highly operable and should have more opportunities to be candidates with excellent academic performance. But in fact, due to the large number of candidates, they can't climb high and refuse to give in, so there is little choice. For the wishes of these candidates, choosing a prestigious school with a relatively remote geographical location will increase the choice and reduce the competition, which is also beneficial to future development.
Third, it is more important for candidates with relatively poor academic performance to choose a school, especially those whose test scores fluctuate up and down the control line of local undergraduate or junior college admission batches. It should be admitted that the competitiveness of these students in the college entrance examination is weaker than that of the first two types of students. Therefore, choosing a school with a relatively small position and a less "administrative" major is likely to be admitted, and it is even possible to improve a number of admissions.
Every year, some normal universities of agriculture, forestry, petroleum, geology and mineral resources are admitted with low scores due to lack of students, and those candidates who apply for undergraduate majors in such schools for the first time are successfully admitted to relevant undergraduate majors by these universities.
Fourth, if students plan to find a job directly after graduating from college, they can consider choosing a school first. Because you are directly employed after graduating from college, the brand of the school is relatively more important when applying.
