Radio and television director, animation and art design (including visual communication direction and network art direction) are three undergraduate majors closely related to creative industries. They are all ace majors in the School of Media and Art of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. The Media Art College of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications is an art teaching unit established in 2002. Today, with the continuous expansion of information industry and the rapid rise of modern media and cultural and artistic industries, the College of Media Arts is determined to cultivate outstanding media art talents with rich humanistic and artistic qualities, solid professional theoretical foundation and skillful use of modern media technology for information content planning, creation and dissemination. The college has three undergraduate majors, namely, radio and television director, animation and art design (including visual communication direction and network art direction), which are closely related to the creative industry, with more than 2,000 students. The College is the training and certification center of 3ds max, Combustion and Visual Design authorized by Canadian Discreet Company, the training and examination center of Chongqing International Commercial Art Designers (film and television industry) authorized by China Television Artists Association, the executive director of China Higher Education Television Art Committee and the director of China Higher Education Film and television Education Art Committee. The Institute of Media Art has an independent Media Art Building12,498 square meters, which integrates teaching, experiment, practice and scientific research. The Media Experiment Center is the first batch of media experiment teaching demonstration centers in Chongqing.
