Students must distinguish between ideals and dreams. Dreams can come true. The ideal is full and the reality is skinny.

Life should have ideals and goals, not to mention college students, but we should distinguish two things about ideals.

One is the spiritual value that is really worth pursuing. They can never fully become a reality, but provide a direction for life or society, such as the ideal of truth, goodness and beauty, the ideal of fairness and justice for life and the direction for society. We can't ask such ideals to come true completely, and then admit that they are valuable, because they are higher than reality, so they can guide reality and provide goals and directions.

There is also an unrealistic fantasy about reality. We often have unrealistic illusions about reality in this way, and then once we come into contact with reality, our illusions will be shattered. I think this thing is not ideal, but it is naive. Therefore, on the ideal issue, don't idealize the reality and think it is too beautiful. Reality can be cruel. We should face it squarely and adjust our understanding of reality with the growth of your experience, but second, no matter how cruel the reality is, we should persist in pursuing spiritual disharmony.
