Geography History: The school is located in Shanghai, China, with Songjiang Campus, Yan 'an Road Campus and Xinhua Road Campus, covering an area of nearly 2,000 mu, with a total construction area of over 780,000 square meters. The school was founded in 195 1 and named East China Textile Institute of Technology, which is the first textile institution of higher learning in New China. 1960 was identified as a national key university by the Ministry of Education, and it was one of the first universities in China with the right to award doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees. 1985, the school was renamed as China Textile University. /kloc-0 entered the national "21/project" in 1995, and/kloc-0 was renamed Donghua University in 1999.
