Tsinghua University's predecessor, Tsinghua Academy, was founded in 19 1 1, and 19 12 was renamed Tsinghua Academy. 1928 changed its name to National Tsinghua University. 1937 after the full-scale outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, it moved south to Changsha.
