The Opinions emphasize that college students are very valuable human resources, the hope of the nation and the future of the motherland.

Strengthening and improving the ideological and political education of college students, improving their ideological and political quality, and training them to be builders and successors of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics are of great significance for fully implementing the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education and strengthening the country through talents, and ensuring that China is invincible in the fierce competition.

It is of great and far-reaching strategic significance to ensure the realization of the grand goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way, accelerating socialist modernization, and ensuring the prosperity and successors of Socialism with Chinese characteristics.

The Opinions are divided into nine parts:

Contemporary college students are the pillars and hopes of the nation, so it is urgent to improve their ideological and political quality.

Our college students born in the early 1980s are not only a lucky generation, but also a generation shouldering arduous historical missions.

We witnessed the great historical moment of the return of Hong Kong and Macao, and shared the joy of Beijing's successful Olympic bid and China's accession to the WTO. At the same time, we witnessed the collapse of the World Trade Center, and we also thought about how to solve the problem of Taiwan Province Province peacefully and treat the development of Sino-Japanese relations more correctly.

First of all, we think that as college students, the teaching of ideological and political course is what we can feel most directly, and it is also the main channel for us to receive ideological and political education for college students.

During our school days, we had a certain understanding of Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and Theory of Three Represents.

At the same time, with the progress of the times and the development of society, our way of thinking and lifestyle are also changing. The discipline construction, curriculum construction, teacher team construction and textbook updating of ideological and political theory courses should also reflect the times and creativity, so that ideological and political education can be closely combined with college students' ideological reality.

In fact, from the students' point of view, the practicality and superiority of ideological and political education can not be completely implemented only through the knowledge in textbooks and classroom teaching. We also realize that the guiding role of Party organizations in colleges and universities and the vigorous construction of campus culture have also played an important role in promoting the implementation of ideological and political education.
