The School of Philosophy of Renmin University of China is an important town for philosophy teaching, scientific research and training high-level talents in China. At present, China is the largest philosophy school with the largest number of professors, the most comprehensive disciplines and the most complete personnel training system. The School of Philosophy is the national basic liberal arts (philosophy) talent training and scientific research base, the "2 1 1" project key base of the Ministry of Education, and the "985" philosophy and social science innovation base. From 65438 to 0998, the School of Philosophy became the first batch of authorized units for doctoral degrees in first-class disciplines in China, with a post-doctoral talent flow station for philosophy and three national key disciplines of Marxist philosophy, ethics and religion. In 2007, the philosophy discipline of the School of Philosophy was rated as a national key first-class discipline. The School of Philosophy has two "Key Research Bases of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education": the Research Center for Ethical Construction and the Institute of Buddhism and Religious Theory.

The School of Philosophy of the National People's Congress not only has the most complete discipline system in China, but also has the most complete talent training system in China, ranging from undergraduate and master students to doctoral and postdoctoral talents. There are three undergraduate majors in philosophy, ethics and religion, and nine master's and doctoral majors in Marxist philosophy, China philosophy, foreign philosophy, ethics, logic, philosophy of science and technology, religion and management philosophy, and senior visiting scholars, foreign students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan are enrolled. Four out of the national 100 excellent doctoral dissertations were selected, ranking among the best in the national philosophy departments.
