School of Information Engineering of Hangzhou Dianzi University is the first batch of independent colleges established by Hangzhou Dianzi University 1999. It was approved by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government in 2004 and confirmed by the Ministry of Education. The college is located in the beautiful Qingshan Lake in Lin 'an District, Hangzhou. The first phase of the college covers an area of 500 mu, and the second phase covers an area of 200 mu.
The discipline layout of the school involves five major categories: engineering, economics, management, literature and art. Five major professional groups, namely, mechanical automation, computer, electronic information, economic management, foreign languages and art design, are built and developed, and 27 full-time undergraduate majors, including computer science and technology, software engineering, network engineering, financial management, finance, international economy and trade, industrial design, product design and English, are built and developed.
