The School of Electronic Information and Computer Engineering actively undertakes a number of topics around the cutting-edge technologies at home and abroad, and has formed characteristic research in the fields of broadband information processing and transmission, mixed-signal and integrated circuit design, intelligent sensing theory and system, new electronic materials and devices, covert communication and information countermeasures, high-speed optical fiber communication theory and technology, three-dimensional image display technology, audio and video signal processing, medical electronic applications and so on.

The college has many experimental training rooms, such as electronic product technology experiment, communication principle, single chip microcomputer, analog and digital electronic circuits, signals and systems, modern communication technology, graphics and images, computer software and security, integrated wiring, artificial intelligence, big data technology and so on.
School-enterprise cooperation:
In cooperation with Sichuan Changhong, Dana Technology, Ito Creative Intelligence Technology, AVIC Tianye Education Investment and other enterprises, Ito Creative and Electronic Information Engineering (pilot special class) and other school-enterprise cooperation classes were opened.
Co-founded the Industrial College with Sichuan Changhong, established a stable professional group training base with Sichuan Huadi Information Technology Co., Ltd., Rubik's Cube International, Great Wall Broadband and other well-known enterprises, signed a cooperation agreement with China Unicom Sichuan Branch, established Sichuan Unicom Education Base, and broadened the channels for students' internship and employment.
