Zhengzhou University (ZZU for short) is organized by the People's Government of Henan Province, and its legal domicile is No.0/00, Science Avenue, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. The school covers a total area of more than 5,700 mu, with a main campus (No.0/00, Science Avenue, Zhengzhou), a south campus (No.75, University North Road, Zhengzhou), a north campus (No.97, Wenhua Road, Zhengzhou) and an east campus (No.40, University North Road, Zhengzhou). The school enrolls students for the whole country. There are more than 54,000 full-time undergraduates, more than 0.9 million graduate students, and nearly 2,000 international students from 9/kloc-0 countries and regions.
Zhengzhou University is a national "2 1 1 project" key construction university, a first-class university construction university, and a "Ministry-province joint construction" university. Standing at a new historical starting point, the school has established the orientation of running a comprehensive research-oriented university and put forward the "three-step" development strategy of building a first-class university, striving to build a world-class comprehensive research-oriented university by the middle of this century.
Henan, called Zhongyuan, Zhongzhou and Yuzhou in ancient times, is called "Henan" for short. Because most of its history is located in the south of the Yellow River, it is named Henan. Henan is located in the middle and east of China, in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River.
