The unnamed lake, the largest artificial lake in Peking University campus, is located in the north-central part. The shape is u-shaped. There is a stone fish sculpture in Hunan, and there is an island in the middle of the lake, which is connected with the north bank by a bridge. There is a stone boat at the southern end of the central island of the lake. There are Bell Tower, Linhuxuan, Flower Bed and edgar snow on the lakeside, and Boya Tower on the east coast. It is one of the landmark landscapes of Peking University.

Peking University is famous for its one-tower lake map, in which the tower refers to Boya Tower, which is located next to the Weiming Lake in Peking University. The "Tower" in the "One Tower and One Lake Map", the essence of Yanyuan architecture-Boya Tower, is an architectural masterpiece with highly unified use function, artistic modeling and environment coordination. Its beautiful image in the unnamed lake is deeply imprinted in the hearts of Peking University students. Boya Tower is located on the hill in the southeast of Weiming Lake. It is modeled after Tongzhou Lighthouse and brick tower of Liao Dynasty with dense eaves. It used to be a campus water supply tower, and its unique design concept is a stroke of genius in the construction of Yanyuan Garden.
