Peking Union Medical College is the predecessor of Peking Union Medical College. China Academy of Medical Sciences, founded in 1956, is the only national medical science academic center and comprehensive medical science research institution in China. At present, there are 28 academicians of China Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering, 4 candidates of "Thousand Talents Program" 15 candidates of "Changjiang Scholar Award Program" of the Ministry of Education, 3 lecturers of Changjiang Scholars, 35 winners of Outstanding Youth Fund, 9 members of academic degree committee of the State Council 1 person, and 654 in-service doctoral supervisors.

2. Third Military Medical University

The Third Military Medical University of PLA is a national key university with a history of 75 years. It is the key construction institution of the "2 1 10 Project" of the army, the first batch of authorized units for doctoral degrees in China, and the first batch of eight-year medical education institutions in China. The school was merged from the former Sixth and Seventh Military Medical Universities 1954. The former Sixth Military Medical University was the Fourth Field Army Medical College and the former National Zhongzheng Medical College, the former Seventh Military Medical University was the Second Field Army Medical University, and 1975 was renamed the Third Military Medical University.

3. Second Military Medical University

The Second Military Medical University of China People's Liberation Army was founded in September 1949, and it is called "People's Medical College of East China Military Region". 1950 changed its name to Shanghai Military Medical University. 1951July was officially named as the second military medical university. At present, the school is the key construction institution of the national "2 1 1 Project", the military "2 10 Project" and the General Logistics Department "530 Project", the key construction institution of military postgraduate training, the national life science and technology talent training base and the foreign military medical student training base.

4. Fourth Military Medical University

The Fourth Military Medical University of Chinese People's Liberation Army is a national key university to train advanced medical talents for the army. School 1954 was formed by the merger of the former Fourth Military Medical University and the former Fifth Military Medical University. The former Fourth Military Medical University was formerly the Health School of the Eighth Route Army Northwest Shanxi Military Region founded by 194 1, and the former Fifth Military Medical University was formerly the Medical College of Nanjing National Central University founded by 1935.

5. Capital Medical University

Capital Medical University, founded in 1960, is a key institution of higher learning in Beijing, with Professor Wu Jieping, the late famous urologist, academician of the two academies and vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), as the first president. Professor Li Ming, Party Secretary, and Professor Lu Zhaofeng, President. There are 10 colleges and 1 research institutes in the school headquarters.
