1. Southeast University is one of the universities with a long history in China. Its predecessor was Sanjiang Normal School, which was founded in 1902. The school is located at No.2 Sipailou, Xuanwu District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, covering an area of nearly 4,000 mu. The campus environment is beautiful and tree-lined. It is a national key university supported by the national "2 1 1 Project" and an innovative platform for superior disciplines of "985 Project".

There are about 40,000 undergraduates, postgraduates and international students, and there are 65 full-time undergraduate majors, covering 10 Master of Engineering and 16 Doctor of Engineering, 1 Master of Engineering. Up to now, Southeast University has established more than 20 cooperative relationships with internationally renowned universities and scientific research institutions, and carried out extensive academic exchanges and cooperative research activities.
Historical evolution:
1, Southeast University started with Sanjiang Normal School, which was founded in 1902, and then went through important historical periods such as Liangjiang Normal University, Nanjing Normal University, National Southeast University and National Central University. During the period of 1952, the departments and colleges of national universities were adjusted, and the arts and sciences moved out, with the former Engineering College of Central University as the main body, and successively merged into the relevant departments of Fudan University, Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University and Jinling University.
2. Nanjing Institute of Technology was established in the original site of National Central University (now Sipailou Campus of Southeast University), and 1988 restored the name of Southeast University. In 2000, it merged with the former Nanjing Railway Medical College, Nanjing Jiaotong University and Nanjing Geological School to form a new Southeast University.
