Beijing National Defense University refers to the National Defense University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, which is the highest military academy in China, directly under the Central Military Commission and at the sub-theater level.

The main task of the National Defense University is to train joint combat talents and senior and middle-level leading cadres for the PLA, and play an advisory role in the decision-making of the State Council, the Central Military Commission, People's Republic of China (PRC) and the headquarters.
