Six. Peking University, founded in 1898, was originally named Shi Jing University Hall. At the beginning of its establishment, it was the highest educational administrative organ in China, located at No.5, Summer Palace Road, Haidian District, Beijing. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). The school ranks among the national "double first-class" A-level, "985 Project", "2 1 1 Project", selected as an independent examination unit for degree authorization, "Pilot Program for Training Top-notch Students in Basic Subjects", "Pilot Program for Enrollment Reform of Basic Subjects", "Promotion Plan for Innovation Ability of Colleges and Universities" and "Introduction Plan for Academic Innovation". As of March 27th, 2024, there are six campuses in Peking University, namely Yanyuan Campus, Medical Department Campus, Changping Campus, Daxing Campus, Wuxi Campus and Shenzhen Graduate School Campus.
