Qinghai Normal University was founded in 1956. The school focuses on undergraduate education, including postgraduate education, international education, adult education and vocational education. Its disciplines and majors cover nine categories: literature, science, history, teaching, philosophy, economics, law, engineering and management.

The school is a doctoral degree awarding unit, a key institution for training Tibetan-Chinese bilingual teachers in science in the western region, a national pilot institution for training high-level athletes, a national social sports instructor training base, a main node institution of China education and scientific research computer network in Qinghai Province, and one of the 50 universities with typical experience in graduate employment in China. 4. People with nationally recognized undergraduate degrees.

5. Undergraduate graduates with nationally recognized academic qualifications (including undergraduate graduates of adult higher education held by ordinary universities and adult colleges) and self-study exams and online education can graduate at that time. Candidates must obtain a nationally recognized undergraduate diploma before entering the school that year.
