I. Introduction to the College

The College of Economics and Business was established in 2004, located in the beautiful Guangzhou University Town. The college has a doctoral degree authorization point for the first-class discipline of applied economics, a postdoctoral station for applied economics, a doctoral degree authorization point for the first-class discipline of management science and engineering (logistics and e-commerce direction), a doctoral degree authorization point for the first-class discipline of business administration (tourism management), and corresponding academic master's degree authorization points, as well as three professional master's degree authorization points for finance, international business and engineering management. The college has eight departments, including Economics Department, Finance Department, International Economics and Trade Department, Quantitative Economics Department, E-commerce Department, Logistics Engineering Department, Tourism and Hotel Management Department, Exhibition Economics and Management Department, and has held two undergraduate talent training programs: economics and management 10. The college has always been student-oriented and attached importance to teaching. At present, there are 1 national and provincial first-class professional construction sites, and there are rich teaching achievements such as national excellent video open classes, national excellent teaching materials, and first prize of provincial teaching achievements. The college has a strong scientific research atmosphere. In the past five years, he has undertaken more than 50 national-level projects such as major projects, key projects and national natural science funds of the State Social Science Fund, and more than 400 provincial-level projects. He has published more than 300 papers in high-quality academic journals at home and abroad, such as Economic Research, Production and Management, and won dozens of scientific research achievement awards, such as outstanding scientific research achievement award in colleges and universities (humanities and social sciences), Sun Financial Innovation Award, and first prize in provincial philosophy and social sciences. There are more than 20 consultation reports on instructions and decisions made by provincial leaders in the State Council, which have had an important social impact. The college has a national comprehensive experimental teaching center for liberal arts and provincial research bases such as Guangdong Financial Engineering Research Center, Guangzhou National Innovative City Development Research Center, Guangdong Supply Chain Financial Engineering Technology Research Center and Guangdong Tourism Strategy and Policy Research Center.

The college pays attention to the construction of academic atmosphere and has established academic exchange platforms such as economic and trade academic forum, economic and trade practice forum and economic and trade talent sword. Seven high-level academic exchange activities have been successfully held, including Xiaoguwei (Island) Financial Forum, China-US Tourism Development Forum and Chinese and foreign exhibition lecture halls.
